Kolkata and its Boutique Hotels: An Experience like Never Before

Kolkata has always enticed me. The language, the cuisine, the warm people and the spirit and glory associated with the city has been successful in alluring me. I finally visited Kolkata and the experience will be etched in my heart forever. One among the four major metropolises in the Indian subcontinent, Calcutta rebranded, as Kolkata is the City of Joy. Located in eastern India, it was the first capital of the Indian colony under the imperial British rule.

A sprawling city on the eastern banks of the river Hooghly, the city of Calcutta has a strong gastronomic culture, and is renowned for its sweets and non- vegetarian cuisine the staple and the specialty being fish. Food is a passion in the city and I shared it with enthusiasm and a newfound zest that the city infused in me.

The city has retained most of the colonial buildings. Some major tourist attractions being Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Fort William, Eden Garden. My spiritual search took me to Kali Bari and Belur Math, which reflected on the secular philosophy of the country. Taking a casual stroll along Chowringee Road helped me to experience the free spirit of the city and unveil its resplendence. With friendly and warm people, culinary delight, amazing handicrafts, Kolkata was a delight.

I chose a Boutique Hotel in Kolkata as my sojourn. Situated in one of the piquant corners of the city, it was an epitome of luxury. Personalized boutique services enveloped in plush and elegant décor of the hotel was a delight. The Luxury Boutique Hotel in Kolkata that I had checked in proffered a night bird like me with a thrilling and pulsating after hours entertainment. Before I left Kolkata, I was indulgent enough to splurge in the day spa of the hotel. My Hotel was one of the high points of my visit, it ensured I could take a plunge and get lost in the spirit of the city.
